The purpose of the KHSD CTE Guest Speaker Series is to introduce high school students to professionals in various industry sectors and expose them to careers within our community.
This week's CTE Guest Speaker will be Brent Hughes, who graduated from Coleman College in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree, for Computer Information Science. He has been an officer with the Kern County Probation Department since 1995. Currently he is a Probation Supervisor in charge of the Special Services Team.
Supervisor Hughes oversees all firearms and force on force training for the more than 160 Probation Officers in his department. He is tasked with researching and advising his department of new firearm laws and bills that will affect Probation.
