AME x CTEC Student Conference

AME x CTEC Student Conference

What is AME x CTEC?
The Arts, Media, and Entertainment Student Conference arrives Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Career Technical Education Center where the focus will be on industry partner run workshops for intermediate to advanced Kern High School Students in AME programs.

The Conference gathers business partners, leaders, and creative industry members to engage with students and their instructors in a series of workshops that explore the trends transforming AME. This is a great opportunity for industry leaders to reach out to students who could be their future interns or employees. In addition, the conference allows businesses to bring awareness to their involvement in our community.

This conference will be the first of its kind in Kern County for high school students. The conference will be focused on topics including how to prepare a design portfolio, industry relevant design tips, how to start your own freelance business and how to engage with an audience through social media.

WORKSHOPS: We will hold workshops on TV and Film, Graphic Design, Content Creation, Photography, and the Freelance Economy, featuring leaders from across the industry discussing the future of AME.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Prior to the conference, students have the opportunity to submit their best work to be judged by a panel of industry experts. The panel will award first, second, and third place with a scholarship in their respective categories.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES: There will be networking opportunities throughout the event to get to better know other participants and workshop speakers.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: If your business, company or organization would like to sponsor our event, please reach out to:
