CTE Guest Speaker Series | Information and Communication Technology

The purpose of the KHSD CTE Guest Speaker Series is to introduce high school students to professionals in various industry sectors and expose them to careers within our community.

This week's CTE Guest Speaker will be Anthony Davis who currently serves as Chief Technology Officer for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS). Anthony brings years of leadership experience in Technology in the private sector to his role along with a passion and family history of working in education in Kern County. Anthony leads the wide array of internal and external technology services provided by KCSOS, as well as countywide and statewide initiatives.

Prior to joining KCSOS in 2017, Anthony was the Director of Information Technology for the Wonderful Company, responsible for all technology operations at Wonderful’s many offices and subsidiaries. Prior to that he served as Director of Information Technology for Wonderful Citrus / Paramount Citrus and their locations throughout the United States and Mexico. He also held leadership positions at Adventist Health, Quest Imaging and Delano Regional Medical Associates in Kern County. Anthony also has experience working internationally, having served with a nonprofit organization associated with the United Nations in the Congo, Kenya and Uganda.

Anthony is a native of Kern County. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree in Business Administration, both from the University of Phoenix. He has served as a firefighter and emergency technician and is a former trained Sheriff’s reserve officer.

Anthony and his wife Ali, a retired teacher, have fostered over 50 children in Kern County during the past 15 years, four of whom they have adopted. They are involved with their church and enjoy family time and outdoor activities.
