UPDATE 10/16/20- The Kern High School District Board of Trustees approved plans for the phased-in return of small cohorts of students to campuses for in-person instruction beginning the week of October 26.
The Kern High School District is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by recognizing the rich history and contributions made by Hispanic and Latinx individuals. This year's theme is Hispanic Americans: A History of Serving our Nation.
Over 500 employees from nearly 150 companies were present at this years Kern County Career Expo to talk with thousands of students and parents about the details associated with working for their companies.
The mission of the Kern High School District is to provide programs and services to allow ALL students to graduate from high school prepared to succeed in the workplace and at the post-secondary level.
KHSD's commitment to CTE from 2015 to 2018 has resulted in: • A 60% growth in the number of program offerings at our premier CTE capstone campus (Regional Occupational Center) • New and varied CTE offerings at our 18 comprehensive sites • New and dynamic partnerships with local industry partners
